About Us

The Property

Heybrook Guest House is a family run business and has a relaxing atmosphere.  It was built in 1928 and retains many original features. The property has a unique and interesting history and has run as a guest house ever since it was built. It has only ever closed for a short period when it was requisitioned during World War Two.

Eating Out

We have a number of great pubs locally with The Eddystone Inn being just a two minute walk away.  At Wembury, The Odd Wheel, offers good food and beers.

There are a number of lovely cafés nearby too.  The Cliffedge Cafe offers lovely food and amazing views at Bovisand Bay.  At Jennycliff Bay the Jennycliffe Cafe is operates all year round.  The National Trust has a lovely cafe right on Wembury Beach.  All of these are within walking distance.

Plymouth City is only a short drive away and there are many good places to dine in the City, with The Barbican Waterfront and The Royal William Yard being very popular.

Local Facilities

We have a small shopping centre, Plymstock Broadway, a short drive away where you will find an assortment of shops including chemists and a post office.  There are also cash points if required.  Our closest supermarket is Morrisons which also has a garage.

Our local village store is in Down Thomas, a short walk/drive away, which sells a good variety of supplies including newspapers, sweets, milk and bread etc.

Walking Holidays

Why not base your walking break in Heybrook Bay? We’ve been described by many of our guests as one of the best locations on this stretch of the South West Coastal Path. We have a limited bus service from Heybrook Bay but there are a number of great local walks.
